Decolonising Art and Design Education through Standpoint Theory, Embodied Learning and Deep Listening

Abstract Understanding and advancing pluralist worldviews through education is a tenet of decolonisation. This paper explores the importance decolonial pedagogical framework in visual art design by disrupting epistemic injustice employing creative body‐based learning (CBL). approach focuses on relationality inter‐subjectivity embodied strategies that create encounters to explore worldviews. Finally, cognitive, affective aesthetic domains within design, argues for decolonising embodies deep listening, dialogic meaning making standpoint theory.
